(Sports Network) - A pair of struggling teams get together tonight at Nationwide Arena, as the Columbus Blue Jackets host the Los Angeles Kings.

The Blue Jackets have dropped four straight games and are tied for last in the NHL with just five points this season. The Kings have lost three in a row and seven of their last eight contests.

Columbus last played on Monday when it was handed a 3-0 setback by the San Jose Sharks. Vesa Toskala stopped 23 shots to record his first shutout of the season.

The Blue Jackets were playing their third game in four nights after previously falling to Minnesota, Toronto and Pittsburgh.

Sergei Fedorov, who suffered a shoulder injury in the preseason, was activated from injured reserve prior to the game. The center skated 19 shifts for the Jackets but recorded only one shot on goal in 17:38 of ice time.

Pascal Leclaire stopped 29 shots in the loss.
