(Sports Network) - The Columbus Blue Jackets try to end a three-game slide tonight when they welcome the Colorado Avalanche to Nationwide Arena.

The Blue Jackets played their first game under interim head coach Gary Agnew on Wednesday, losing 5-4 to visiting Nashville. Agnew replaced the departed Gerard Gallant, who was fired on Monday.

David Legwand scored two goals and had an assist to lift the Predators.

Rick Nash scored two goals and added a helper for Columbus, while goaltender Pascal Leclaire allowed five goals on 30 shots for the Blue Jackets. Columbus has lost four of its last five games overall.

Nash netted his fifth and sixth goals of the season.

Columbus will visit Nashville on Saturday to open a home-and-home.
