Columbus, OH (Sports Network) - The Columbus Blue Jackets placed defenseman Duvie Westcott on injured reserve Monday with a broken finger.

Westcott suffered the injury in the team's 5-4 win over the Calgary Flames last Friday. He is expected to undergo surgery this week and will likely miss six to eight weeks.

Westcott has registered three goals and five assists in 11 games this season, leading all Blue Jackets defensemen in scoring.

In four career seasons, the Winnipeg, Manitoba native has tallied nine goals and 41 assists in 166 games, all with Columbus.
