(Sports Network) - The Columbus Blue Jackets will try to remain unbeaten in March as they welcome the Los Angeles Kings to Nationwide Arena this evening.
The Blue Jackets are 2-0 so far in the new month after posting wins in Dallas and Phoenix over the weekend.
Columbus last played on Saturday against the Coyotes and earned a 4-3 victory. Brian Boucher stopped 32 shots to post his second win of the season and first as a member of the Blue Jackets. Boucher was claimed off waivers last week from the Chicago Blackhawks.
Rick Nash had a goal and an assist for the Blue Jackets, who hadn't won back- to-back games since a four-game winning streak from January 19-30. Jason Chimera and Fredrik Modin also scored, while Geoff Platt recorded his first two points of the season with a pair of helpers.
Tonight marks the opening test of a two-game homestand for the Blue Jackets, who are 14-15-4 as the host club this year. Columbus has dropped three straight and five of its last six tests at home.
