(Sports Network) - A pair of struggling teams get together tonight in the Windy City, as the Chicago Blackhawks welcome the Columbus Blue Jackets to the United Center.

The Blackhawks have dropped six straight games (0-5-1), while Columbus is 0-3-1 in its last four contests. The teams are at the bottom of the Central Division, as Chicago is third with 40 points and the Blue Jackets are three points back in the cellar.

Chicago's only non-regulation loss during the skid came Sunday against visiting Minnesota. Pavol Demitra scored the lone shootout tally as the Wild stormed back to top the Blackhawks, 4-3.

Tuomo Ruutu, Martin Havlat and Cam Barker all scored for the Blackhawks, who have also dropped eight of nine. Nikolai Khabibulin finished with 24 saves in defeat.

The Blackhawks, who are 10-11-2 in the Second City this year, are playing the middle portion of a three-game homestand tonight. They will wrap up the residency Friday against the Wild.

Meanwhile, the Blue Jackets are coming off Saturday's home setback to Nashville. Chris Mason made 39 saves, including 22 in the final period, as the Predators continued their domination of Columbus with a 4-1 victory at Nationwide Arena.
