(Sports Network) - The Columbus Blue Jackets begin a three-game swing through California this evening, when the club will take on the Los Angeles Kings at the Staples Center.
The Jackets enter the trip on a high note, coming through with a 3-1 victory over Chicago Sunday at Nationwide Arena. Fredrik Norrena stopped 21 of the 22 shots he faced and Columbus scored three times over the final two periods to erase an early deficit.
Sergei Fedorov, Manny Malhotra and Duvie Westcott all had the goals for the Blue Jackets, who had dropped three of four coming in.
Columbus will be attempting to halt a four-game road slide tonight and is a lackluster 6-11-2 away from home on the season. The Blue Jackets continue this trip Friday at Anaheim before visiting San Jose on Saturday.
The Kings return home after ending a three-game road trip with back-to-back losses at Calgary and Detroit. Los Angeles was dealt a 6-2 defeat by the Red Wings on Sunday.
Alexander Frolov tallied both Los Angeles goals in the loss, the Kings' sixth in its last eight games. Derek Armstrong assisted on both markers.
