CHILLIWACK, B.C. (CP) - Evan Bloodoff and Cody Almond scored third-period goals to lead the Kelowna Rockets to a 3-2 victory over the Chilliwack Bruins in WHL action Wednesday.

Colin Long also scored for Kelowna (11-20-2-3), which moved one point ahead of the expansion Bruins for the fourth and final playoff berth in the B.C. Division. The Rockets also have two games in hand. Matt Meropoulis and Ken Petkau replied for Chilliwack (11-23-2-2), which saw its season-best 4-0-0-1 streak come to an end.

With Chilliwack leading 2-1 heading into the third, Long tied the game at 2:43, stripping Bruins defenceman Craig Lineker of the puck and beating goaltender Matt Esposito on a second chance from in close.

Almond scored the winner at 11:09 when he skated down the right side and fired a weak wrist shot from the boards that beat Esposito on the short side.
