Chicago Blackhawks centre Michal Handzus will miss the remainder of the NHL season after suffering a torn ACL in Saturday's game against the St. Louis Blues. The 6-foot-5, 217-pound forward, who was traded from Philadelphia to Chicago two months ago in exchange for Kyle Calder, had recorded a pair of goals and five assists in eight games this season. He was hit and injured in the third period of the Blackhawks' 4-3 loss to the Blues. Selected in the fourth round of the 1995 draft by St. Louis, Handzus entered the season with 111 goals and 180 assists in 509 career games with St. Louis, Phoenix and the Flyers.
