(Sports Network) - A battle for pride is on tap tonight in Chicago, as the Blackhawks host the Los Angeles Kings at the United Center.

Neither the Blackhawks nor the Kings are in the playoff mix out West. The Kings are last in the Western Conference with 54 points, and Chicago is just one place ahead of Los Angeles, locked in a tie with Phoenix for 13th overall.

The Blackhawks are also 22 points out of the last postseason berth in the conference. Los Angeles is 25 points away from that coveted spot.

The Kings are beginning a four-game road trip tonight after going 2-2-0 on their recent homestand. LA finished the residency on a down note, however, as it dropped a 6-3 decision to the Nashville Predators on Saturday. Shea Weber scored two goals and added an assist to give the Predators the easy triumph at Staples Center.

Mike Cammalleri scored two goals and Jamie Lundmark lit the lamp for the Kings, who had won three of four coming into the contest. Sean Burke made 27 saves in the loss.
