(Sports Network) - The Nashville Predators will have an opportunity to seize sole possession of first place in the Central Division when they visit the Chicago Blackhawks this evening at the United Center.

Nashville is currently tied with Detroit for the top spot in the division and can move ahead of the idle Red Wings with some points tonight. The Predators haven't had much success when facing the Blackhawks so far in 2006-07, however. Chicago has won three of the four meetings between the Central rivals this season and is 5-1-1 in its last seven overall matchups with Nashville.

The Predators stopped a three-game losing streak at the United Center with a 2-1 decision on December 20.

Nashville will also try to rebound from Monday's 5-3 home setback to Colorado, the club's second defeat in three games. Jason Arnott netted a pair of goals for the Preds in the losing effort.

Chris Mason finished with 30 saves for Nashville and Alexander Radulov had the team's other goal.
