Simple question really:

Who is the best player on the Tampa Bay Lightning and why?

It usually comes down to Vincent Lecavalier, Martin St. Louis, Brad Richards, or Dan Boyle.

I've added on a few others in case come may prefer others who have somewhat of an impact on the team.

If there's someone else that you want mentioned, put in a word and we'll see if a mod is able to add some in. ;)

Look at that, I forgot the poll.

I would have to go with Lecavalier especially the way he has been playing this year and he hasn't been inconsistant!!! Martin St Louis is a close 2nd.

3 other players on Tampa I think have done pretty well are Eric Perrin, Filip Kuba and Ryan Craig. Oviously not Tampa's best players but deserve some recognition.:D

Richards has kind of fallen off the radar which is unfortunate, his big contract must have the same impact on him as it did for St Louis. You have one great year get a huge contract and your point total goes wayyyy down. Hopefully he picks it up soon, some nights they could really use his scoring.

I would also like to add Dan Boyle is tied in 4th with Tomas Kaberle for total points by a defensman so he is definitly making a name for himself

Nice topic. :)

I'll also have to go with Vincent Lecavalier.

As mentioned above, he's been their most consistent player this season, and he's probably their most complete forward as well.

His play is only improving offencively, but also all-around. No offence to St. Louis (who I'd put 2nd), but as much as he brings I think that Lecavalier brings just a little more.

And I didn't even mention his puckhandlig skills, which are nothing short of unbelieveable. He's possibly the best Puckhandler in the league.

Marty! Richards main problem is that Marty can only play on one line at a time. Wherever Marty plays the players around him become dangerous.

However, those who choose Vinny certainly have merit to their argument. Vinny has raised his game consistently game after game and is now the player so many thought he could become.

Too many here in Florida have turned on Richards unjustly in my opinion. His scoring is up he just lacks a finisher on his line like Marty and Modin.

Bolts:thumbsup:
