Chara even though he doesn't fight alot
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIKNvuD4Dx4Peronally I vote for Braeshear.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEUAvr4qQIMShawn Thornton.
The problem is that he won't go against the top fighters in the league. He picks and chooses who he fights against. Can't be amongst the best until you beat the best.MAn!!! Totally for got Lucic. He can throw'em.
yea he's only a good fighter because of his size but if he is like a normal 6'3 player he would do worserI'd go with Chara only because of his size.
Theres the proof. Vodkafish and his merry band of rabbis know all.And HockeyFights.com has the second link you posted for Thornton as a win for Thornton.
yea he's good only because of his sizeI think it's gotta be Georges Laraque. Chara is only a good fighter because he fights people that are not his size. He should leave the fighting in Boston to Milan Lucic and Shawn Thornton.
:fight1
So? Is that not a bit redundant as a point.VICE™;560151 said:Chara's only really good because of his size. If he were smaller, he wouldn't be so dominant. Don't get me wrong, he's good, I just think that if he were the size of an average NHL fighter, he wouldn't be as good as others.
Surely the context is within the NHL, if that isn't the case, I reckon Brashear might struggle with Pacquiao...I gotta agree with most of you, Chara has a way of bringing down guys, just because he's a damn giant. I'm sure if he'd meet him with another guy his size, it would be a different story..
You guys gotta give it to Chris Neil. For a small guy, he's a tough one. But only difference is, he always fights, he was bad before with getting penalties, but seems to have calmed down a bit..
See that is a reasonable thing to say.The best pound for pound fighter in the NHL right now might be Jordin Tootoo. He head butts, just ask matt bradley.
Yeah i remember when Brash and Chara dropped em. Chara was really cautious. And Brash ended up popping him a few times and taking Chara down to the ice. He will come over in the middle of a scrum and start popping guys but when it's one on one he doesn't want to be hit. I guess he is the classic example of someone who can dish it out but can't take it.See that is a reasonable thing to say.
Personally I think Thornton and Brashear are the best because they have the best mix of balance, size, speed and power and they are certainly better than Laraque.
Love to see Chara and Thornton go at it but Chara would just grab him and take him down like he does to everyone else. Boxing > Wrestling.
I'd say Brashear from Thornton for just throwing the hands and when Brashear and Thornton faced off it showed that Brashear has his number.
Brashear > Thornton > Chara
nothing official, I just don't like the way as soon as Chara comes up against someone who can throw them he goes for the quick takedown.
"It's like oxygen, get used to it." - Ted LeonsisFirst off: as a Flames fan, I'm near obligated to choose a Flame... but Lucic is not a Flame unfortunately, so I won't.
Secondly: I really don't like the fact that fighting is such a big thing in the league nowadays. In fact, in a book, I believe it was a Bob McCown book, 100 Greatest Hockey Arguments, there is a stat that says fights do not actually statistically aid a team to victory... It was either they fought, won, and they lost more, or it didn't change anything. But I know for sure it didn't help them.
I don't wanna sound pacifistic or something, I just like to see toughness and adrenaline expressed when the ref doesn't need to blow a whistle to let them do so.
last I checked, Dion could hold his own, too...
