TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - The Boston Bruins rebounded quickly from a one-sided loss on opening night.

Patrice Bergeron scored the tiebreaking goal early in the third period and Brad Boyes had a goal and an assist in the Bruins' 3-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night.

''What really impressed the coaches is that the guys responded and did the things you have to do to win hockey games,'' Boston coach Dave Lewis said. ''It's just one game, but it's good to see that. It's a good feeling to come out of a building that's a home opener against a really good team and find a way to win a close hockey game. I like winning close hockey games.''

Wayne Primeau also scored for the Bruins, who lost 8-3 at Florida on Friday night in their season opener.

''We played our game and got the result,'' Bergeron said.
