With Savard injured until God knows when, I'm thinking Bergeron, not Krejci is the key to the Bruins' next Cup. He may not be a natural top-line center, but he is the more complete player I think. The linked post seems to make a good argument for the Bruins being contenders this year and for the next few seasons thanks to the signing.

Nope. Savard is a mile ahead of Bergeron.

And yet...

The Bruins seem determined to get rid of Savard once he gets healthy, at least according to all the rumors this offseason. Is Chiarelli being stupid?

I think it's mainly due to Savard's contract length and amount. With so many young up and coming centers do they rly need Savard for that much longer ? They can move him out for something they need more then Center.s
