Nick Plastino scored at 7:23 of the first period to give the Barrie Colts a 1-0 lead, assisted by Kris Sparre.

There was no more scoring until just 17 seconds remained in the third period when LA Kings draft pick Trevor Lewis tied the game on the power play with assists to Bobby Ryan and Wayne Simmonds.

Nothing was settled with 5 minutes of overtime so for the second straight game at the Bayshore it was a shootout.

It was the fourth shooter for the Barrie Colts #23 Ryan Bellows that scored the game winning goal on Attack goaltender Anthony Guadagnolo.

The first star of the game was Barrie Colts goaltender Andrew Perugini who stopped 52 of 53 shots in the game and 3 of 4 shooters in the shootout.

The second star of the game was Owen Sound Attack goaltender Anthony Guadagnolo who stopped 26 of 27 shots in the game and 2 of 4 shooters in the shootout.

The third star was Ryan Bellows of the Barrie Colts who scored the game winning goal in the shootout.

The Owen Sound Attack's record is now 17 wins, 14 losses, 0 overtime losses, and 3 shootout losses. With 37 points they remain 3rd in the Midwest Division and 6th in the Western Conference but just one point behind the Sarnia Sting.

The Owen Sound Attack will travel to Sarnia to take on the Sting on Friday night at 7:35pm. The game will be live on Bear Radio on 560 CFOS or on the internet.

The next home game for the Owen Sound Attack is Saturday night at 7:30pm against the Windsor Spitfires. It's the annual Teddy Bear Toss sponsored by Grey Motors and Staples. Fans are encouraged to bring a teddy bear to the game and toss it onto the ice when the Attack scores their first goal of the game as a donation to less fortunate children this Christmas. The box office is open weekdays 8:30 - 5pm and 10am to game time on Saturday.
