HAMILTON (CP) - David Backes scored twice and the Peoria Rivermen relied exclusively on special-teams in a 4-2 win over the Hamilton Bulldogs on Saturday in the American Hockey League.
Backes had power-play goals in each of the first two periods while Mike Glumac added a man-advantage goal and Cam Keith a third-period shorthanded goal for the Rivermen (4-2-0-1). Peoria finished 3-for-5 on the power play.
