(Sports Network) - The Nashville Predators will try to get back in the win column this evening as they host the Colorado Avalanche at Gaylord Entertainment Center.

The Predators had a five-game winning streak snapped Friday night in Detroit. Dominik Hasek stopped all 21 shots he faced to record his second straight shutout and third of the season as the Red Wings bested Nashville, 3-0.

Tomas Vokoun made 37 saves for the Predators, who had a franchise-best seven- game road winning streak halted. Friday's game was the finale of a five-game road trip for Nashville.

It marked the first time in 10 games that the Predators failed to record a point. After starting the season 0-3-0, Nashville went 9-0-1 before running into Hasek.

Meanwhile, the Avalanche will try to rebound from a tough home loss to Los Angeles on Tuesday. Sean Avery had two goals and the Kings registered four second-period tallies to hold on and beat Colorado, 6-5.
