I thought he was losing "it" last season when he was on Toronto. He became much slower than he was before the lockout, when he was a very solid d-man in Toronto (and previously, Washington).
Maybe he was cuaght off guard with the amount of change in the game the NHL had this year, and he's been working on his foot-speed for this year.
Time will tell.
