An ensemble indie drama

Watch Elysium Online The Internet is full of a lot of information, deep thinking, experiments and other fascinating forays into the human mind… but maybe 40% of all that thinking is devoted to Star Wars. OK, fine, more than 40% of it is actually devoted to porn, but Star Wars is taking up plenty of space too, especially now that the relatively imminent arrival of Episode VII gives a lot of people a new excuse to think about what they really want to see happen in a galaxy far, far away. Probably none of them will take it as far, though, as this guy at Belated Media, where they've put together a 16-minute pitch on how to improve Episode 2, also known as Attack of the Clones. You know, the "hold me like you did by the lake on Naboo" one.

Watch We're The Millers Online The Australian-born Thomson, who starred as Chloë Sevigny and Željko Ivanek’s daughter Cara Lynn in the polygamist drama, has recently had a recurring role on ABC Family’s drama series Switched at Birth as Lucas Grabeel’s fiancé Nikki, along with a few other TV appearances. As far as films go, her work as been tethered to the Made For TV projects of Lifetime and Hallmark, and if we aren’t counting 2008’s wacky family adventure Cop Dog, this will be her first major role. Kind of a strange choice to follow Tisdale, who seems to be comfortable sticking to TV and film voicework, but Thomson will certain reap the rewards, as I’m sure this film will make a killing with certain demographics.

Watch Planes Online Lucas adopted three children during his first marriage. At this point, however, thirty-two-year-old Amanda, twenty-five-year-old Katie and twenty-year-old Jett are all grown and out of the house. No doubt their absence has made Lucas’ house (not Skywalker Ranch) a must less festive and noisy place. This little girl will certainly change that, but I’m sure the Star Wars creator and the Dreamworks head could use a little chaos and clutter in their lives.

Watch Percy Jackson Sea of Monsters Online As you might guess, it takes a lot of work to shape up that film into something with actual characters, stakes, action, etc., and this version involves beefing up the friendship between Obi-Wan and Anakin, turning Uncle Owen-- the guy who raises Luke Skywalker-- into an Anakin Skywalker superfan as opposed to Anakin's actual stepbrother. Sure, that sounds bizarre, but isn't the relationship between Anakin and Owen in the actual movie even weirder? From there you include Owen in the action more, give an expanded role to Padme's brother Bail, keep Darth Maul alive… there are lots of changes to incorporate, and having not seen Attack of the Clones since its midnight opening night screening in 2002, I'm already fuzzy on the difference between the actual movie and this guy's revamp. Though I'm pretty sure the line "dope and deadly robot legs" was not part of the original George Lucas script.

Watch 2 Guns Online It's funny that, even with a bright new future of Episode VII and the return of the original cast ahead of us, we're still obsessing over the problems of the prequels, which are pretty much guaranteed not to be repeated now that George Lucas has stepped away from the franchise and a legit storyteller like Michael Arndt taking over. Broken dreams leave wounds that last a lifetime, and no matter what we start hearing about Episode VII-- whenever Disney decides to spill the beans, that is-- fans will be looking for comparisons to the prequels and getting concerned. That is, unless we can collectively wipe our own memories and replace them with this guy's version of the story. We'd probably all be much happier as people, actually.

Watch The Smurfs 2 Online From Band of Brothers producers Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman, Parkland centers on the events occurring at Dallas’ Parkland Hospital following Kennedy's murder, and is based on the book Four Days in November by former prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi. Thankfully, each of these pictures is of one of the film’s major characters, so we get a good look at everyone in a clear shot. First up is Paul Giamatti playing Abraham Zapruder, arguably the most famous amateur cameraman to ever live. Zapruder was responsible for the only known footage to exist of the entire assassination, which lasted a whole 26 seconds. Just click on the picture to see a reference image for Zapruder.

Watch Turbo Online After nearly a decade of being quoted endlessly by fans, Ron Burgundy's many bits of wisdom -- "Milk was a bad choice," "I'm kind of a big deal," etc.-- have become legend. The arrival of Anchorman: The Legend Continues this Christmas promises to give us more where that came from, but Ron Burgundy wouldn't be a classy newsman if he didn't know how to take advantage of an opportunity. So in November, a month before the Anchorman' sequel's debut, we'll see the arrival of Let Me Off at the Top!, a.k.a. Ron Burgundy's memoir.

Watch The Smurfs 2 Online According to Entertainment Weekly, the book will chronicle the newsman's childhood and rise in the TV business, along with "well-learned lessons on a variety of topics as well as anecdotes from his pursuits of career, friendship, and women." Based on that brief description it's not hard to make a few guesses on what's in store-- a guide on which weapons to bring to an alley brawl with other newsmen, for instance. How to get your apartment to smell of rich mahogany. A stern warning against the use of Panther. A very one-sided account of his romance with Veronica Corningstone, in which she falls for him immediately. An eight-page spread of glossy, full-color photos of Baxter, the little gentleman.

For an ensemble indie drama that concerns itself with one of the most memorable events in American history, Peter Landesman’s Parkland could have really played up the tragedy of JFK’s assassination with its recently released poster, via Yahoo! Movies. But the design is instead something classier than a floating head design, though much drier and non-specific than I would have hoped for. And that’s saying a lot for a poster that has both “November 22, 1963” and “The JFK Assassination as You’ve Never Seen It Before” as taglines. Note that I’m really glad they didn’t decide to make the half-masted flag form the face of Kennedy as it flies in the wind. I guess the all-black background and single iconic image speak to the strange reverence the day has received over the years. Luckily, the first five of the film’s stills aren’t nearly as foreboding.
