Ottawa Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson will not play Wednesday night after he suffered a leg injury against the Islanders Tuesday night. He is listed as day to day.
Alfredsson took a check from Islanders defenceman Tom Poti early in the third period. He was slow returning to the bench and then went to the dressing room after the next whistle.
"I just tweaked the muscle a little bit," Alfredsson said after the game.
