Albany 3, Norfolk 2
Three consecutive goals in the first period held up for the River Rats as Albany defeated Norfolk 3-2 at the Times Union Center and ended its six-game winless skid, in addition to ending the Admirals’ six-game winning streak.
Keith Aucoin led the way for Albany, scoring a goal and adding two assists as netminder Tyler Weiman stopped 37 of 39 shots to hand the Admirals their first loss of 2007.
Ryan Bayda provided a goal and an assist for Albany, who play four of its next five games at home.
Brandon Bochenski and defenseman Danny Richmond tallied for the Admirals in the loss.
