(Sports Network) - The Columbus Blue Jackets move on in a new direction tonight when they welcome the Nashville Predators to Nationwide Arena.

The team fired head coach Gerard Gallant on Monday in an attempt to rescue a season that is off to a horrible start. Assistant Gary Agnew has been named interim coach, but the search is on for a permanent replacement. Former Flyers and Stars head coach Ken Hitchcock, who was fired by Philly last month, is slated to be interviewed.

Columbus has lost its last two games, and three of the last four. On Sunday the team dropped a 1-0 tilt in Chicago, as Brian Boucher made 28 saves to shut out the Blue Jackets.

Fredrik Norrena made his fourth appearance of the season for the Blue Jackets and finished with 18 saves. Columbus failed to score in eight power-play chances.
