TORONTO (CP) - Six members of Canada's world junior team were given a rousing ovation at Air Canada Centre on Saturday night before the Toronto Maple Leafs played the Buffalo Sabres.

Andrew Cogliano, Steve Downie, Sam Gagner, James Neal, Ryan O'Marra and Ryan Parent came to centre ice wearing their white Team Canada jerseys and the gold medals they won a day earlier at the tournament in Leksand, Sweden.

The often quiet crowd at Air Canada Centre rose to its feet as the players were introduced and cheered loudly.

Following the national anthem, Leafs defenceman Bryan McCabe shook hands with the players as they walked off the ice. Toronto coach Paul Maurice then patted each of them on the back.

Canada has won three straight gold medals at the world junior tournament.
That is amazing that they came back to Canada and a day later and another big day in Toronto. The PGA Golf phrase should be used for these kids:

"These Guys Are Good"
