I was talking with a guy at work and he thinks that toughness can beat skill. He was willing to bet his retirement fund on the 1975 Flyers against the 2011 Brunis (old rules). I don't think the '75 Flyers could even come close to keeping up. What do you think?

It would be too hard to compare the two. Technology has come a long way. Players are faster and more refined. Skates, sticks, padding, etc. Nearly everything has changed from that long ago.

That 75 Flyers team had more balls them any team since then pretty much. That team WAS THE Broad street bullies. Nobody wanted to play against them at all period. Hell, my beer league team would play against the Bruins. Might not will but we would still be alive.

I'm saying if the 75 team could play in present time with modern equipment.
Well when the Bruins can intimidate to the point where opposing players come up with mysterious illnesses so as to not have to play against them then i think the answer is clear the broad street bullies and the mysterious illness known as the philly flue own this hands down.
