On 10-23-1975 the kansas city scouts won there 2nd game at the historic boston garden in there 2 year history by beating the bruins by the score of 3-2. there was no scoring in the first period but the scouts opened the second period with a goal by Simon Nolet at the 7:08 mark to put the scouts in front by the score of 1-0.but boston scored 2 goals in the 3rd period by Johhny Bucyk to put boston ahead by the score of 2-1 with less that 10 minutes left in the game.but the scouts tied the game at the 15:22 mark with a goal by Buster Harvey. Kansas city scored the go ahead goal with less than 2 minutes left in the game by Guy Charron with Nolet and Rota assisting.But with the spectacular goaltending by Denis Herron by stopping 35 bruins shots in the game the scouts beat the bruins 3-2. In goal for boston was Giles Gilbert. Johnny Bucyks two goals in the game were his 497th and 498th goals of his career.
