QUEBEC — A well-known Quebec lawyer is urging Premier Jean Charest to get involved in helping to create a Team Quebec that would play in the 2008 world hockey championships.

Guy Bertrand says it would be fitting to have such a team because part of the 2008 tournament will be played in Quebec City.

Bertrand says Hockey Canada has told him Quebec can't have a team because it is not a country.

I know this will never happen but imagine the first place match up between Team Canada and Team Quebec
I would hate to see it, a lot of Canada's best players come from Quebec.

That would be so cool! Just this once because it's in Quebec City, maybe it could be fun to see a all french Canadian team.

As long as nobody gets any ideas to separate or anything I don't see the harm.

Maybe seeing a Team Quebec just for fun could be an idea, they obviously can't play in a professional international competition since Quebec isn't a country but why not just for bragging rights? I think it would be entertaining to see Team Quebec vs Team Rest of Canada. And money earned could even be used for charity?
