It became more problematic than cool
Watch Elysium Online The Office sounds really great on paper, but in actuality, he was maybe the 8th lead during his run, sometimes only appearing in a few scenes each week. In addition, he’s also releasing A.C.O.D. and this year, but the former’s poster includes 6 names, none of which are his; best case scenario, he’s about the fifth lead in thi sweekend's . The Croods also came out this year and is a nice enough project, but supporting voice work isn’t really an accurate reflection of true star power. Perhaps worst of all, his recent work in Identity Thief wasn’t even credited.
Watch We're The Millers Online Cage will star as a jumbo jet pilot who is “trying to calm down his hysterical passengers,” and Thomson will be playing his daughter, who is trying to find her mother and brother after the mass disappearance. From what we’d previously learned, the father and daughter join together to form the Tribulation Force, which makes it sound like the movie be taking on more than just the first novel.
Watch Planes Online Everest might not be as familiar as Lisa or Andrea, but it’s a) not difficult to pronounce and b) not instant double take weird. For a couple who have spent their lives climbing to the top of different challenges and never letting any obstacles get in their way, it also has pretty clear and overt significance too. I’m not sure anyone will ever ask George or Mellody why they picked Everest.
Watch Percy Jackson Sea of Monsters Online Duke is creative enough with his body that he can play a traditional schmuck or an idiot best friend (like he did in Drive). He’s also thoughtful and enough of a mean-spirited dick that he can play a frustrating wannabe intellectual (like he did in Hot Tub Time Machine). He has talent. Perhaps more importantly, he has enough restraint that he’s not grating. He doesn’t try and suck out every ounce of potential comedy in each line like so many comedians are apt to do. He also doesn’t try to bowl over his co-stars. He just goes with the flow, which is why he would work well in a more serious ensemble too. And yet, he has one project coming up on his IMDB.
Watch The Smurfs 2 Online I’m not saying Duke should be toplining $50 million dollar movies. I’m not saying he should even necessarily be taking the lead in indie dramas, but he should certainly be working on a regular basis. People need to start hiring him.
Watch 2 Guns Online After a few months of speculation, we now officially know what Vin Diesel's role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be. The Fast & Furious 6 star has confirmed to the Los Angeles Times that he will indeed voicing the tree-like alien Groot in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy. Diesel first announced that he was taking meetings at Marvel Studios back in late June, but has kept his potential role a secret. He has hinted at possible characters - such as Vision - but the biggest clue came this past weekend when he posted an image of the cosmic hero comic book character on his Facebook page. The LA Times caught up with him today at a Hollywood Foreign Press Association luncheon and the actor confirmed the role.
Watch The Wolverine Online If you would have told me that the studio remake of Left Behind would only see one minor problem by the time it began its production, I would have at first been skeptical, and then assumed it had something to do with Nic Cage. But it turns out that it involves another cast member - Ashley Tisdale. Variety reports that the actress connection with the film has ended and that she has been quickly replaced by Cassi Thomson, best known for her work on HBO’s Big Love. There’s no reason given for Tisdale’s sudden split, but I’m not even going to speculate, as speculation might end up screwing me over when the End of Days hits.
Watch World War Z Online You take the good with the bad, I guess. What do you guys miss about your theater While Famke Janssen wound up playing a fairly significant role in James Mangold's The Wolverine, coming back as Logan's love Jean Grey, apparently she almost wasn't the only character from the original X-Men trilogy in the movie other than the titular character. In an interview with CreativeScreenwriting (via Superhero Hype), screenwriter Mark Bomback revealed that there was an early version of the film that featured the return of Anna Paquin's Rogue.
"I love Rogue and I just think that there’s something about this idea that Rogue is tremendously empathetic but incapable of safe human contact," Bomback told the site when asked about other mutants that were considered for the sequel. "I was trying to do something with Rogue in the script. I even had a set of ideas that the old man possessed a version of Rogue’s power and that was going to be indicated by a white stripe in his hair." So what happened to the idea?
"Eventually it became very goofy, and I threw it out because I started realizing throughout the script that it became more problematic than cool. It’s no accident to me that in the first X-Men film the first two mutants that you really see who have a connection are Wolverine and Rogue. There’s something special between them, so I was trying to bring Rogue into it, but it just didn’t get there. I regretted there wasn’t a way to figure it out, but when I look at the film now, it would have stuck out if we tried to shoehorn her in there just because it was another character from the universe."
