Ryan's late power-play goal propels Spokane to 4-3 triumph over Portland

SPOKANE, Wash. (CP) - Derek Ryan's power-play goal 2:47 into the third period gave the Spokane Chiefs at 4-3 win over the Portland Winter Hawks in Western Hockey League play on Wednesday night.
The Chiefs also got goals from David Rutherford, Drayson Bowman, and Adam Hobson. The Winter Hawks got goals from Sasha Golin, Stefan Langwieder, and Nick Hotson. Portland (6-7-0-0) got 34 saves from Curtis Mucha.
