mike green is a solid d-man, but he is still young. like said before, lets see if he can continue to grow over the next few seasons. some of the other d-men in washington need help/replaced.
however, washington has a powerhouse of an offense, AND they are well coordinated. and their coach is amazing, which makes the deal. look back pre-lockout, and they tried buying a team, but didnt have the right coaching element.
the goalie situation is the only wildcard spot i see. if theodore performs, caps will do fine, and i think they'll win their division again and also finish in the top5 in the league. if he doesn't, they have 3 rookies that can then fight for a spot. Johnson is too unreliable: he'll be amazing one night, then the next night he might as well be standing behind the net.
its a shame Kolzig left the way he did, but i find it quite funny that he ended up in Tampa Bay after all his "im leaving and going to a contender" crap. and then they picked up another goalie, so he might not even be the full-time starter down there! ha! i think it was a poor decision from him. regardless of how well he thinks he can still play, a 40yr man is not as quick as a 20yr old kid, and you definately need speed to be a goalie.
huet is just an ******* to me now. he made his offer, washington matched it, and he still left. i hope the blackhawks do terrible.
