VANCOUVER (CP) - The Vancouver Canucks sent Luc Bourdon back to the Moncton Wildcats on Wednesday and said the defenceman would finish out the 2006-07 season with the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League club.

Defenceman Patrick Coulombe was recalled from the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League to take his place on the roster.

Bourdon, 19, played in nine games for the Canucks, recording no points and four penalty minutes. Another game played with Vancouver would have activated his NHL contract for the full season.

Bourdon was the club's first-round pick, 10th overall, in 2005.

The Shippagan, N.B., native split the 2005-06 season between Val d'Or and Moncton of the QMJHL. He scored two goals with 18 assists in 20 games with Val d'Or and added a goal plus seven assists in 10 games with Moncton.
