I see one being that we trade Toskala and our 7th overall for NYI 1st overall take Tavares and also trade Kaberle and Poni for Phoenix's 6th overall and draft Brayden Schenn which honestly i would love. Also it sees us signing Nabokov but i think this is all but a distant dream. If it really happened though I'd be psyched ! (: So what are some situations you guys have heard of or thought about ?

and then us picking Scheen and Kulikov up, which would give us a solid two-way guy and rejuice our systems depleted defensive prospect pool, plus he is already playing in North America which means he won't be like Vorobeiv.

Don't want to rain on your parade but I think you are a little off. I don't see NYI wanting anything to do with Toskala.
Toskala addresses the net. Kaberle the Defense, Stajan adds depth, and Kulemin may turn into a Hejduk type scorer, who knows. Plus they get a high 2nd rnd pick.
The Leafs get Hejduk and the chance to draft one of Hedman or Dushene, assuming Tavares goes first. Plus they get to keep the #7 pick.

The Islanders may want another goalie, but Toskala's pay coupled with his sad looking season last year gives me doubts that anybody would want him. If there is a team below the Leafs that would take him in a package, then Burke would have to move him, I just don't see it happening. The only real possible trade partner it seems is the Lightning, who have been using the media to banter back and forth with the Leafs about a trade for their pick. I believe the trade is done, but it all hinges on the Islanders taking Hedman rather than Tavares, which also is very unlikely. Keep in mid, most of the talk about the supposed competition about who goes number one is created by the media to create interest. Tavares (according to Burke) is the next Bossy, including where he will play, I think.
