Roster thus far
Ponikarovsky-Antropov-Hagman
Blake-Stajan-Steen
Tlusty-Moore-Bell
Mayers-Tlusty-Devereaux
Grabovski
Kubina-Kaberle
McCabe-Coliacovo
White-Finger
Stralman
Toskala
Cujo
It doesnt look like a bad roster at the moment. The center position is rather weak, but I really like the depth of the team and the grinders. The defensemen looks like last years, except Finger for Gill which I'm not to sure is an improvement. Cujo>Raycroft.

Is there a reason Tlusty has two roster spots? As for Stralman being out of the top six I doubt it, White seems more likely to be stepping out of the line-up right now, and considering the cluster at defence it will be one of Kubina, White or McCabe who are not making our op six next season. But as it stands for confidence and development purposes alone, and the fact that he is much more talented Stralman is higher then White in the depth charts for sure right now.

Nice pick up, I was trying to make sure the lines looked good. I supppose that Kulemin can come in on the wing and have Devs at his natural center.

I'm sure Niklas Hagman and Brendan Bell are LWers, while Jamal Mayers is a RWer.
Also, the Leafs don't want Bryan McCabe back and have made no secret about it. That's why they got Jonas Frogren - a physical defencive defenceman from overseas. Luke Schenn seems to be the extra (since they said he'd get a chance to play this year).
Mikhail Grabovski should have a spot to start the season. The team said that they want him to have an impact right away.

Just looking at the top line makes me want to cry. =( At least it means we'll get a nice pick next year. Or who knows I guess, maybe they'll step up and become superstars with that extra ice time =P

I like the idea of another top 5 pick better.

I'm sure Brendan Bell is a Defensemen who use to play with the Leafs but is now with Phoenix .
Anyway, where does Grabovski come in? Does Tlusty lose a roster spot? Kulemin doesnt get a chance? Or maybe they will make another few trades .

LOL!!! I mean Mark Bell.
I think they might be moving Stajan... or at least that's how it sounds. Grabovski's signing, along with them Dominic Moore, and handing John Mitchell a contract clogs up the center position quite well.
Stajan and White might be used to beef up a package or something of the sort.
They'l probably play Tlusty if he makes it out of camp. Nikolai Kulemin should probably be getting some chances to ride the wings (and I hope he does from what I've seen). The only real Rwers are Jamal Mayers and Jeremy Williams. With Steen or Antropov playing tow line center, they'll need to try out his speed and skill there and look for chemistry.

I would try around something like this:
Kulemin-Steen-Tlusty (Fletch has been saying he wants Kulemin to try a top six spot, and I think this line will be Quick)
Blake-Stajan-Antropov (Stajan and Blake had some good chemistry with Tucker at the end of the season, Nik I think would be an upgrade possibly allowing both Mat and Blake to come above 50 pts this season)
Hagman-Moore-Bell (Hard hitting and defensively responsible)
Garbovski-Deveruax-Ponikarsky (this line will most likely be patch work, but it is clear that Garb is going to have to play in the NHL and he is going to have to get 15 minutes a game or he will have been a waste of time and distraction.)
The beauty with this team having no stars is that we can play all four lines, role them and give them all some ice time.
Scratches are Mayers (waste of pick) and Williams (he has to see some time this season if he is ever going to be anything)
Kaberle-Finger (fletch has said he was brought into compliment him)
Kubina-Frogren (fletch said the same for Frogren as he did for Finger)
Stralman-Coliacovo
McCabe (benched till he waives is the line I think Fletch is going to take with McCabe. With any luck the McCabe situation will be solved before the season starts and we can have White as our 7th guy but as it is right now, we will most likely lose White to the Wavier wire.)
All in all with the siging of Moore and the aquiring of Mayers the Leafs line up is not as young as I had originally hoped it would have been and sure I would have loved to have seen Kubina go for a fifteenth pick overall or so on draft day, but in the end i think the line up is young and will be balanced when the development takes place.
Some risks obviously occured that i didn't agree with taking, Jeff Finger for one, and Hagman is another. But at the end of the day i just want the speculation to end and the dust to clear.

Seeing as I love doing things like this, I might as well make one too :
Tlusty-Steen-Kulemin (I'm hoping for this one as well. Sweeeeet!... if it works out)
Ponikarovsky-Antropov-Blake(Antro played much better when he was at the Center position to for long stretches of last season)
Hagman-Grabovski-Bell(Grabovski has speed with Hagman, and strength with Bell)
Devereau-Moore-Mayers (They'll try Mayers out. He was brought in for experience, leadership and his physical play. He'll also be some good protection for the younger players on the team)
Earl, Williams, Mitchell
Kaberle-Finger (if they do what they say and Finger will be paired with either him or Kubina)
Colaiacovo/Frogren-Kubina (if Kubina isn't gone by then. Sounds like they want to keep him)
Frogren/Colaiacovo-Stralman (Frogren and Stralman were paired together on Team Sweden. It's possibly one of the reasons why he was signed)
Schenn, Kronwall
Toskala
Joseph(10-15 games)
Pogge(2-5 games)
