That's not exactly that much of a secret.

greg gilbert is a crappy coach. it's not because of his coaching the marlies did well this year. the guy doesn't know how to adjust his lines to the game or opponent.

Greg Gilbert is junk, he doesn't even belong in the AHL... the supposed development league for prospects, he's giving all the older players ice time (players who have no shot at being in the NHL) and benching the young guys who have some potential...
Not starting Pogge is ridiculous, and if we had a compatant GM such as... pretty much anyone, he would have had his bags packed by now. Nobody gives a **** if the Marlies are winning or not, or about them either.

So he's perfect for Toronto then.

Well according to TSN, one half of the equation is in place. Ron Wilson has reportedly been hired as the next coach of the Leafs.

Burke and Wilson are old family friends.
This is another case of the Leafs trying to figure out who to hire to please Burke..
MLSE... WWBD?

But wasn't Wilson already the obvious choice though? Burke or no Burke?
Maybe we're playing a little too much into this one here.

If we sign Wilson, I think this might start to paint Toronto the home of the San Jose rejects, first with Nolan, then Toskala and now Wilson, this off season will consist of signing Mike Greire and our logo will be switched to a belly up great white.
