Leaf Predictions.
This may sound stupid to some, but this is what I believe will happen, we'll see how much of it actually does.
McCabe to the Islanders. Deal is already done, Bryan just wanted to give the playoffs a shot but he'll waive now.
Tucker will not be bought out. Sorry guys, but in all honesty where will you find another 20 goals in that lineup? Personally I don't think there's room for Tucker & Blake.
Kubina will stay. He's overpaid, but much closer to 5 mil than McCabe. At least he plays DEFENCEman.
Raycroft is gone. One way or another.
Blake will be traded. The free agency crop is sad this year and teams will inquire.
Brunnstrom will likely be leaf, but don't get too excited, the NHL is whole new level. Hopefully they don't overpay him.
Sundin will come back. If he goes to another team after the no-waive he's a P.O.S.
Maurice is done. He is just simply a bad special teams coach. At least the powerplay was good with Quinn.
Burke is the new GM.
And in my perfect world, They sign Andrew Brunette to build a better locker room with a winner. And I know he's old but on a two year I'de love to see Rolston here as well. These 2 would do well in changing the dressing room dynamics, and they are NOT the type of passenger players the leafs have in theor top 6.

McCabe
source?

Personally, once Maurice moved Blake and Tucker together they created a heck of a line and I really would think if the leafs don't trade him he would be better served as a leaf then some never ending hit on our salary cap
Kubina will stay. He's overpaid, but much closer to 5 mil than McCabe. At least he plays DEFENCEman.
last I heard he was gonna be traded to the Sharks till he stop it mid track, he has a window in his no-trade clause that could see him moved this summer, right around draft time
Raycroft is gone. One way or another.
yeah because his contract is up this summer I am pretty sure
Blake will be traded. The free agency crop is sad this year and teams will inquire.
Who is gonna take a 4 million dollar 20 goal scorer/puck hog for the next three years? Is Fergie GMing again?
Brunnstrom will likely be leaf, but don't get too excited, the NHL is whole new level. Hopefully they don't overpay him.
He is not signing in Vancouver allegedly because they fired their GM and are currently deciding on a new path for the team, why would he sign with a team with no GM to begin with and no idea where this team will be in five seasons?
Sundin will come back. If he goes to another team after the no-waive he's a P.O.S.
I see him coming back too, but he will not be traded
Maurice is done. He is just simply a bad special teams coach. At least the powerplay was good with Quinn.
this really depends on the new GM, I could see Paul being here for one more year
Burke is the new GM.
I think he might want to stay in Anaheim, he has said it repeatedly and it would not make very much sense if he didn't he has a franchise that will not be going into the crapper for the next half of the decade, in truth I think we are going to get a GM along the lines of Neil Smith or something, but I am also not channeling the spirit of Ms. Cleo so, what the hell do I know?

I a prefect world, the Leafs trade Kubinia and get a ridiculous prospect ideally from the Sharks or Sabres in the form of a young roster player. They then move Blake to Edmonton for some nice young gun in Nielsen or Shremp, and then dump McCabe off in Phoenix for a crazy young guy there. We then move Tucker and Vorboveiv to Pittsburgh for Staal, and we call it an afternoon and move onto free agency in the morning.
Though this is the real world, so they are going to change nothing and progress onward with this plan of mediocrity.

And they'll probably sell out every game and continue to be a money making machine in the process too.

O how I hope all your predictions come true. Except Kubina staying.. he's too slow for today's game.

Apparently the deal was Kubina for SJs first... Then that first went to Buffalo for Campbell. It would be very unlikely we dont get the same offer this off season.

Is draft day in that window where Kubina can be traded?

McCabe
source?
Um, Every sports outfit on TV, plus he's always said the only place he'de go is the Island-his wife's fam is from there.
Tucker will not be bought out. Sorry guys, but in all honesty where will you find another 20 goals in that lineup? Personally I don't think there's room for Tucker & Blake.
Personally, once Maurice moved Blake and Tucker together they created a heck of a line and I really would think if the leafs don't trade him he would be better served as a leaf then some never ending hit on our salary cap
blake and tucker's line that scored as much as the habs third line. if blake is tradable then trade him.
Kubina will stay. He's overpaid, but much closer to 5 mil than McCabe. At least he plays DEFENCEman.
last I heard he was gonna be traded to the Sharks till he stop it mid track, he has a window in his no-trade clause that could see him moved this summer, right around draft time
Fletch was forced into tading anybody, he will trade McCabe before Kubina if he can I'm sure.
Raycroft is gone. One way or another.
yeah because his contract is up this summer I am pretty sure
His contract isn't up until the end of the 2008-2009 season. But He'll go.
Blake will be traded. The free agency crop is sad this year and teams will inquire.
Who is gonna take a 4 million dollar 20 goal scorer/puck hog for the next three years? Is Fergie GMing again?
He also went 25, 28, and 40 before that. Way crappier guys, with bigger saleries have moved. Plus, he's good, it just wasn't the right fit in TO.
Because they will guarantee him top 6 icetime. They are bad enough to be able to do that, and his agent says that is the most important thing to him.
Sundin will come back. If he goes to another team after the no-waive he's a P.O.S.
I see him coming back too, but he will not be traded

Burke and the ducks haven't agreed on contract and apperenty they've discussed it for the last few months. If he was staying he probably would have signed a deal by now on an extention.
And in my perfect world, They sign Andrew Brunette to build a better locker room with a winner. And I know he's old but on a two year I'd love to see Rolston here as well. Watching the Rags blow their wad on an over hyped shut down guy in Chris Drury....priceless
To MaCabe
Why would Edmonton trade a highly touted prospect that already scores more than blake and is cheap for a 35 year old underacheiver. Your nutty. And why would Pens want tucker for Staal? Staal 20 yrs el cheapo and scoreed 30 as a 18 yr old for 32 yr old never scored 30 tucker. um. no.
