Just to see what others might think will happen, and the Leafs suck right now so there isn't anything good to talk about with them. The last one looks confusing cause it's a mix of me and MaCabe's writing.

Well, the first thing you're wrong about is Burke as he's staying with Anaheim.
Blake isn't going to bring much as his production dropped off a good bit by 17 points and his goal scoring fell off the cliff by almost 63% from the previous year. He went back to his average numbers.
The Leafs are just in a bad spot and it doesn't look like it's going to get better any time soon.
Why would Fabian Brunnström want to play for the Leafs? As arrogant as he's making himself out to be, I can't see him wanting to jump on board with any team in the shape the leafs are in right now.

As I said Brunnstrom wants top 6 minutes and the only teams he has publicly said he's interested in were Van, Det, and TO. Van may be out the window now because his agent said he liked the direction Nonnis was taking them, and I'm not sure Det would give him top 6 minutes, that's the only reason I made that prediction.
Well, o-for 1 on burke. I will never listen to newspaper fodder gain. The leafs never even asked to speak to him, which tells me maybe they never were interested in him. I doubt any of the other guys would switch teams, especially not with peddie hanging around. But there are some pretty good guys unsigned-really, anything is an improvement over JFJ.
Blake fell well below his scoring average over the past 4 years, but he has prived he can score, and just because he didn't on a poor team doesn't mean he won't again. I think if the deal was right a team would pick him up, maybe the isles again, there were rumours they wanted to trade back for him at the deadline. He does look pretty sucky right now, but he should be good for 20-25 goaols on a good team.

Alright, the Brunnstrom stuff isnt going to change in the next while so I say we talk about the up coming draft and who we should draft...
Personally I think Cody Hodgson has to become the next Leaf center. He has amazing speed, good two way smarts and can put the puck in the net. He's a good Canadian boy, who plays for Brampton. He's currently ranked 6th, hopefully he slips a bit to 7th...
Plan B: Luke Schenn, who is in the mold of being the next Adam Foote. I cant recall the last time we've had a human eraser like him. Ranked 8th.
Also, I'd love to trade to get around 20 in the draft because I think Jordan Eberle (currently ranked 24) possesses hockey sense and skill that cannot be taught.

I'm liking Colin Wilson over Cody Hodgson. He's raked up more points than Cody Hodgson. Given they do play in different leagues so you can't really compare, but he's also bigger than Hodgson.
All the Dmen at the top of the list look great so I really wouldn't mind any of them either.

Thing is, players who play University hockey have a hard time adapting to the NHL, because they only played 30 odd games in their season. Futhermore, they tend to finish their degree so Wilson wont be joining us for awhile, if we were to draft him.

Yesterday Sportscentre said Brunstrom is going to either Dallas, Detroit or Montreal, and all I have to say is.... told you so.
For you Leaf fans that said it was a sure thing, nothing good happens to Torotno,it is Newton's 4th law. So when someone predicts it, it is automatically not true.

Ya Ya, I suck, but you know what, the more i look at his stats and watch his vids on youtube, I'm actually not all that impressed. 20 something goals in the Swedish League and he's going to be a star in the NHL? Guys that are stars in the NHL absolutely dominated in Europe and Russia.
