Leafs haven't given up yet -- TheStar.com

The math says no. So does common sense. But the Maple Leafs refuse to do the former and won't listen to the latter.

- TheStar.com

It's time for the Maple Leafs to look to the future, a future that's not necessarily as bleak as some would suggest.

No time off for Toskala: Coach -- TheStar.com

The Maple Leafs aren't about to throw in the towel. It will remain tightly wrapped around the neck of Andrew Raycroft at the end of the bench.

Lots at stake for Flyers, too - Toronto Sun

Deep down inside, Paul Holmgren probably doesn't give a rat's rump about how the Maple Leafs have their collective "backs against the wall."

Why would he?

The one-time Philadelphia Flyers' pugilist-turned-general manager is too polite to use those exact words, but the message remains the same: His team is having its own problems attempting to clamp on to the eighth and final playoff spot.

Here comes Downie - Toronto Sun

Steve Downie could be greeted by so many jeers tonight, he might think he is Sean Avery.

Downie returns to the Air Canada Centre this evening for the first time since his highly publicized sucker-punch on the Maple Leafs' Jason Blake on Jan. 5.

Sundin continues to carry Leafs -- National Post

Mats Sundin was wrong. He might also have been bored, and just a little irritated, as he stood in a frigid hallway with a group of reporters...

Leafs need desperation as much as inspiration - The Globe and Mail

Leafs notebook: Raycroft still waiting for work -- Posted Sports

By all accounts, backup goaltender Andrew Raycroft has been waiting for another chance with equal parts patience and grace. It has already been more than a month, though, and there has been no indication his wait will end before the Toronto Maple Leafs finish their season on April 5.

Two good reasons to fire Maurice. Can't handle the youngens, and can't handle a goaltender.

The only way I'd let Sundin go is if he was resigned and traded. Why get rid of the guy that is practically carrying the team and has for his entire tenure as a Leaf?

I dont even understand why raycroft is still here... ... ...

He should have been gone after last season, PERIOD. He is not good enough, simple as that, what good is he making a million bucks sitting on the bench watching some guys eat hot dogs in the seats and watch his old pal Vesa rob some more guys.
