They're sooo close.

Likely bad. My figuring is they will need 24 of their final 30 points to make the playoffs. At most, they can only lose three of their remaining games. A strong finish looks like the players (& coach) salvaging some pride from another lacklustre season.

Its almost over folks...
The Leafs have played 68 games. They have 68 pts.
If the last two seasons have taught us anything its that 92 pts will get you in.
That leaves 24 pts lacking, and 14 games remaining.
That is 24/28 pts. This team can only lose 2 games in regulation and have a realistic shot of making it.
In other words... This season is done.

I was watching the St. Louis game last night against Vancouver and I can,t figure out why Toronto ever let Brad Boyes go? they have to start rebuilding or Toronto will never win a Cup, I'm glad I remember Torontos last Cup because I probably won,t live to see there next one!

The Leafs as they sit right now have a chance at the number 1 overall pick.

The same reason that San Jose and Boston let him go.
Actually Toronto had more reason, when the Leafs traded him, the rules were geared almost solely towards large players. Without the rule changes Boyes would not be nearly as effective.

That is true but to add to that we got back Nolan at the prime of his career which wasnt bad if he hadn't had that freak injury. looking back im sure if we would have known that changes were coming we wouldnt have been in the position we are in now.
