Exciting game, but unfortunately we let up in the 3rd period. Hopefully we'll get em tonight!

Tucker was brutal, Raycroft wasn't bad, and aside from McKaberle the defense was pretty good.
The PP needs a ton of work. The Sens PK team was extremely active and really forced the Toronto D-men to play the puck fast.

I agree about Tucker, he was probably the worst Leaf last night. I expect Belak to play tonight Mcgratten vs Belak.

Ditto. If ever there was a time that the team choked, it was last night. They had them right where they wanted them, and they let the game slip away.
I especially didn't like that Overtime goal. Chad Kilger was right beside Dany Heatley, and did nothing. He didn't even move, he just glided and watched the puck get fired in 5-hole on Raycroft (who was actually quite decent last night in all honesty).

Toronto always pummels the other team at the begining, and plays worse towards the end, I noticed last year.
This year, I see some really good signs. For the past two years, especially 05-06, Ottawa always won hands down. Now, the games are getting close, so that's a good thing. Toronto's doing well, considering they're up against what will probably be the powerhouse of the east.

There's going to be a bad taste in the players mouths after this home and home only coming out with 1 point. The played well enough to win last night and played much better tonight and still couldn't come away with it. The penalties really took the flow out of the game and once again the PP did absolutely nothing. Not bad though to pretty much outplay the EC Champs 2 nights in a row.

If I'm Gomez, Shanahan, Drurry, Prucha and Jagr, I'm licking my chops at all those juicy Gerber rebounds I'm going to see on Saturday.
The Leafs need to find some finishers!

That's been the case for years. Something has got to change there.

I can't see the Leafs losing 3 games to start the season, and I don't think that the Canadiens have the team to beat the Leafs in semi-desperation mode, so I'll say the Leafs take this one 3-1.
Blake, Sundin, and Tucker get the goals for the Leafs, and Koivu scores for the Habs.

HNIC is carrying the Sens game in Ottawa tonight ... gah! CBC usually gives us the Leafs game when they play the Habs. Ah well, hopefully I can find a pub where they're playing it. I'm expecting a good effort from Toronto tonight.
