Default Oh Toskala where are you???

Injured...

We need him back, 1st intermission of leafs vs. rangers and Raycroft already is losing us the game. He aint good enough, I call clemmensen for next game if Vesa's groin isnt healed yet.

Hmmm... This could work for the Maple Leafs' organisation in a way.

I mean, with the way Toskala was playing lately the CuJo/Eddie factor was beginning to slip in again.

31 goals against in his last 16 games, or 20 against in his last 11. He was averaging around 1.9 Goals against per game. It got to the fimiliar point of when even if the team were to lose a game, he couldn't be blamed.

Now they have the average/below average Goaltender in Andrew Raycroft between the pipes again, and now once again more focus is being put back on who is doing what on the ice rather than the score at the end of the day which (despite what many want to think) is never "all that matters in the end" because mistakes can and do catch up to this team - and every other team.

It could help in stopping bad habits, uncovering flaws that hurt this team badly, etc....

Is this goal Rayzor's fault?
Is this goal the defence's fault?
What should have been done here?
Could they have made a better play there?
Why wasn't this done? He was right here, or he was right there.
Why does this player continue to do this or that over and over again?

Hopefully the heat will be turned back on management again and it'll be no more of "yeah, but we still won the game" for some time.

Raycroft isn't the only reason the Leafs are losing. We could have Roy, Broda, Vezna, and Peter Ing in net all at the same time and it just wouldn't matter.

No raycroft is the reason leafs are down 5-0 in this game, the goalie has a job, sure taking so many penalties doesnt help, but when the rangers score 3 goals in the period they have been outscored in the whole season, you know something isnt right.

The easy out is lay it all on Raycroft, he has a responsibility for sure, but to say he is the only reason is ludicrous.

Raycroft could use some friggen help from his teammates to make his job a little easier. He let in a few weak ones but was stopping most of them prior to getting pulled. 5 goals on 29 shots isnt all that bad considering 4 were powerplay goals. I hate how the Leafs fans immediately cheer when they pull Raycroft. Its unreal the lack of respect leafs fans show to this poor guy everytime he gets pulled for somthing that isnt entirely his fault. Maybe the guys infront of him should start playing and trying to help him out.

He isnt the only reason, clearly no offense, but you need to be able to win 2-1 games.

That's why I love shows like NHL on the Fly, and the online recaps of games that are loaded on to youtube by the (NHLVideo).

It gives you a chance to look back at past games, go over a few instances, clear up some assumptions or blurred areas, etc.... It really helps in analyzing situations and breaking down some elements of the game.
