Uhh, yeah... about that...
I'm really not a fan of the boos that rain down on Rayzor or the cheering we hear when he gets pulled; that was disgusting. In all honesty, only 1 goal was clearly his fault, and that was the 1st one. It's about time more Leaf fans actually paid attention to the games and put some thought into how much of the blame should fall on his shoulders. It seems that the fans at the building just see the puck in the net and automatically assume that Raycroft messed up somewhere along the line. I mean, yeah, he isn't as good as some of us would like to think, but clearly a lot of people don't know what they're doing.
As for Clemmensen... well, I don't know. Toskala out does give them the chance to do some experimenting, but the question is will they? We'll see. Next up are the Lightning on New Year's Day.
They've been struggling as of late so I don't like Toronto's chances there if you know what I mean.

It's likely going to be Clemmensen tonight

I wish Scott good luck and better success than he got in New Jersey.

A National Post release in the last hour confirms that Scott gets the start. He's done all that can be expected so far, he's earned it.

I wonder that with the emergence of Price in Montreal and Rask getting a taste of the NHL in Boston and even LA let Bernier have some experience in the big leagues, if Toronto should call up Pogge for a game or two to try out big league hockey first hand, this of course not a permanent thing but more of an instance to familurize Pogge with the NHL and the fans with Pogge. Just an idea

If the leafs keep tumbling to the bottom of the standings, it would not surprise me to see him get a few starts.

At the rate their going, they'd have no reason NOT to give him a shot.
And I'll agree about the scapegoating that this leaf falls into when the team starts running into problems (which it does often and without fail). Leaf zealots need to learn a simple truth; This Team Sucks. Outside of Sundin and Toskala, this team is not playoff worthy the way tehy've been playing, and to be honest I dont' think it'd get past the first round. As its' been said over and over to the point of a stuck record, this team needs to start right from stratch and rebuild from the ground up, becaus this constant patch job does not work.

The teachers and fans alike would never allow a rebuild from scratch. The Leafs have some solid players and with Sundin gone either this season or probably next JFJ has to be looking to pull the trigger for a #1 centre.
And if you think McCabe and Kaberle are crap... well then I hope it helps you sleep at night. For what they bring to the team playing 30 minutes a game they are solid defensemen and are always constantly criticized solely based on playing for the Leafs.
