Tucker has a tear (partial or complete unknown) of his ACL. They are avoiding surgery. This
NEEDS surgery.
If they wait I would guess Tucker is gone for the year.

"Normally, if there is any damage to the ACL, a player cannot return to full strength without having surgery," said a former Leafs' medical person. "If the MCL (Medial Collateral Ligament) is damaged, it's a different story. Proper bracing can allow a player to come back after a prescribed period of rest. So, believing that he'll return with even a partial tear of his ACL could be wishful thinking on Darcy's part, though I must stress I don't have first-hand knowledge of his condition."
