Tucker wrecks knee... Gone a long time?
Quote:
Maple Leafs forward Darcy Tucker will be sidelined indefinitely after suffering a right knee injury.
He suffered the injury Saturday night in the third period of a 6-4 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks.
Tucker has struggled early this season with just one goal, four assist in seven games with a -4 rating.
More details to follow.

Things just get better and better... Wellwood, Bell and Colaiacovo can't get back soon enough.

Well there's always next year....
But seriously this is sad. Hopefully we can bring someone up who improves our game without the puck....but what are the chances? I'd love to give Salmelainen a shot at this point.

A younger talented version of Tucks will be available after 6 games.

Bell?
I am very excited to have him on the team right now. Anyone know if the drunk can skate?

Meh.
Seriously, I have not been impressed at all with Tucker since he got injured last year and signed his new contract.. he has not played well. I was hoping maybe he would turn it around, but theres just something about his play that makes it look like he gets pushed around alot easier than before.

He's claimed to be sober for over a year.
Anyway, I'm wondering how this guy can play. Bell isn't a player that I haven't seen much. Just a few clips of him beating guys up and all, with his 6'4" 205lb frame, and of course stuffing a few pucks into the net a la Gary Roberts.
*starts wishful thinking*
I suppose most of us already know what we're getting with Wellwood (a Point Per Game player), and Colaiacovo (solid defenceman at both ends of the ice).
Bell sounds like he'll be impressive, but that's just word of mouth for me.

Watch us start winning consistantly now.
He is one of our biggest achilles heel as far as I am concerned.......

Maybe I'm being paranoid, but something irks me about the way many of the Leafs injury problems have gone down over the last year. I can't back it up, but there's definitely a bad odor coming from the team's medical staff.
Kaberle returns to the line-up after the Janssen hit, then misses the World Championships due to concussion problems
Carlo plays in exhibition games, then ends up on the shelf with a problem he had before camp even started.
Wellwood is out with an injury that was supposed to have been fixed already.
Now this...
