Ponikarovsky-Kilger-Tucker
Steen-Stajan-Devereaux
Gamache-Pohl-Salmaleinen
Belak Battaglia
Kaberle-Kubina
Mccabe-Colaiacovo
Gill-White

I am not sure who will be the #6 between White or Wozniewski though.

That looks pretty good to me, aside from maybe Deveraux as he hasn't seen much time so far in exhibiton.

I think that you will see Gamache on a line with Steen and Stajan, they seemed to have some chemistry earlier in training camp.

I've only seen bits and pieces of the exhibition games online (although I'll be going out tonight to catch the game against the Sens), so I can't really weigh in on things like Sameleinen vs. Newberry vs. Devereaux and the battle for jobs among fringe forwards ... however, since I don't think decisions should be based solely on a few exhibition games in the first place, I will share a few thoughts:
- I'm surprised to have not seen Kronwall's name on anybody's list. I'd really like to see him make the team. He's getting to a point where we either use him or lose him.
- The log jam at the bottom of the blueline totem pole really underlines the need to move a d-man. I think it's safe to say that at least 2 of Woz, Kronwall and Stralman are NHL ready at this point. I think the most appropriate person to move would be Gill (he has trade value, commands a high salary relative to his position on the depth chart, and has less long term use to the organization than any of the kids), but if JFJ isn't going to do that it may be time to start looking in to what we can get for one of those kids. I don't really want to trade any of them away, but I'd rather that than just letting them rot.
- If we're going to send an NHL ready d-man to the Marlies (and that seems inevitable), my first choice to go down would be Stralman simply because he's the only one who I think could really derive any benefit from it. Woz and Kronwall both have pro experience in North America, and would do nothing but spin their wheels in the AHL. Stralman on the other hand, however good he may have looked so far, could still stand to gain from getting some experience playing the North American game. Besides, if Kronwall and/or Woz can establish themselves (yet again) as big strong defensive d-men at the NHL level, it would make it a lot easier to pull the trigger on a deal involving Gill.

I think you haven't seen Kronwall on anyone's list for the simple fact that he hasn't played that well.
I think the dman who gets moved will depend largely on which of the kids is playing best.
Gill played for well for them in his role. I think they need to move Kubina if they keep Kronwall or Woz, and White if they keep Stralman.

Also don't count out Harrison.
I saw him in a fight for the second time last week. They kid can throw them. As good as Belak I would say.

Even though its probably a bit early, I'd love to see Jiri Tlusty make this team. I love the way the kid plays and we could use his offensive prowess with Wellwood out.
