Those line combos will almost defenitely be used throughout the season when one line fails eventually, Leafs are infamous for this.

Like I said in my analysis before I doubt Blake is going to be lining up with Snats for too much time. Sundin makes his own chances because he is impossible to knock off the puck, what the leafs need for Sundin's production to sky rocket is a good garabage man to shove in the invetible rebounds that Sundin is bound to create, and I think that Antropov is suppose to be this guy, he was spectacular after after his knee injury last season and doesn't seem afraid to use his size in front of the net anymore, and if this is carried over into this season Antropov will be the catalist to Snats production. Blake would do well with young fast players like Pohl/Steen/Wellwood/Poni.
I am really hoping after the suspendtion is up that we can see a third line like Tucker-Bell-Kilger, because that line would be devestating.

I think Wellwood is going to line up with Antropov-Poni to start the season.
Its hard to place Tucker and Steen at the moment, either one can play top line with Blake and Snats, idealy I would love to see Steen. While Tucker forms a strong checking line with Kilger and Stajan? and have Tucker on the PP.

Whatever line combos they end up going with, I feel pretty good about the fact that we've got a number of decent forwards that give us a lot of interesting options. With Sundin, Wellwood, Blake, Steen, Tucker, Antropov and Poni to work with, and a number of capable guys available to fill in the blanks, there are a ton of different variations that would give us a really solid top 3 lines.

The problem with that is that Tucker is not a great player at even strength (especially defensively). And Stajan has not proved he can battle. I would actually prefer to see Poni in a checking role as he is very capable defensively.

Ponikarovsky is a better player than Antropov???? I like Poni but come on.....
The only issue with Nik is his health. As far as skill, Antropov has more. Sure, Poni has scored more goals over the past few seasons but how many more games did he play?
From the reports I've read and reading what people at the Blue and White game and preseason practices have said, the line of Blake-Sundin-Antropov seems to be developing some real chemistry. Blake has been quoted as saying that when the Islanders played the Leafs in the past few years, the two players they keyed on where Sundin and Antropov.
Having Wellwood line up as the second line centre takes some pressure off of him (keeps him off the wings), and due to his creativity, may also take some pressure off the 1st line as Kyle continues to emerge as a top 6 forward. Maybe a second line of Poni-Wellwood-Steen?? Poni and Steen for defensive awareness, Poni for the size and Wellwood for creativity. Apparently Steen has looked really quick so far in camp and Poni's pretty quick for such a big body. I know people are saying Tucker for the second line but his 5 on 5 skills really seem to be declining. I'd leave him on the 3rd line but give him plenty of power play time. With the past season seeing Steen made to focus on the defensive side of the game, it would be beneficial, maybe, to give him the opportunity show what he can do offensively. He has also shown the occasional tantalizing glimpse of creativity in the past.
Meh, I'm definitely not one to determine a line up, just rambling here. Had to jump in regarding Antro, though.
