I think they have a legit shot at it as long as they dont get into any slumps or losing skids. (every team slumps, i mean for an extended period of time)

i think they can make the playoffs; it depends to be seen what position they will land in. if they win the divsion or get home ice for the first round; they can at least make the second round...if they don't it will be tough; especially with their average of going 6 games or more.

but then that was with Quinn....

It is a nice thought but there is still a long way to go for this team to reach that level. They are on the right path though!!

The LEafs are in far better shape than a few years ago for many reasons.

Wellwood and the Youngins are actually making a real contribution now. Much Like the Sedin twins a few years back - the rookies and sophmore dudes are starting to shine and the transition is well under way.

Deadwood : Except for Good Old Wade Belac - the team is far faster in general (Remember good old Shane Corson - everybody had em - even the habs).

Nets: I think he's the real deal but AUbin can do the job also. I don't remember if you guys still have the young swede netminder or did he get traded ... but a definite improvement in goals....

Coach: THE KEY - you had good teams year in year out and energy coming out of your A,B and C hole but Patty kinda killed for me - Paul Maurice does not take stupidity for and excuse as you guys will do really well this year.

The Cup : San jose - Buffalo or Anaheim but not Toronto this year ...

They're not gonna be able to maintain the level of play that they started the season with. Sundin is already out, the young goalies might slump......I'm guessing they'll miss the playoffs :0pouce:

Why are they not going to be able to? Seriously, why? Sundin isnt out for the season, and theyve done well without him so far. There is only 1 young goalie and thats Raycroft and he isnt that young at 26. Aubin is almost 30. I'm guessing you really have no idea what you're talking about.
