Guys, im so sad that the Leafs lost : . I honestly am. I wanna congratulate you guys on a great year. I honeslty thought the Leafs were gonna win the cup. Well, good luck next year.
okay. you guys. we can take this one in two ways.
sulk. (i am so for the sulking right now).
cry. (that's working it's way up there).
whine (that's kicking too....)
or move on.
i'm getting there. moving on.
but let's just stop and think about it.
the leafs had one heck of a season. it had it's bumps and it's groans and it's pitstops, but what's a leafs season without that? i mean, would we have been satisfied with mundane play of the leafs?
this team plays with emotion. (most times)
and this team is exciting....(most times).
so we didn't get to the finals. (again). even though we loaded up at the trade deadline.
look at what we did do.
we got a solid number one for 200? in Leetch (and i am so eating my humble pie right now; because he did wonders for us).
we have a few veterans returning, and we have a good onset of youth coming up.
we have a general manager who is not afraid to upgrade.
we had the best point total of a leaf team in 37 years.
we had the best finish of a leaf team ever
we can only go up.
so it's not the cup, and we're disapointed, and in a way it's NOT a good season because we didn't win.
but you guys; this is the upside of being eliminated.
we automatically go for it next year, and there is no reason why we can't win it next year. or the year after....and we're undefeated.
GO LEAFS GO!

Definitely a great year for the Leafs. As a Sens fan, I was surprised that I was actually starting to like them hehe. You guys have a great team and are always gonna be a threat. Good luck in future years!
i honestly think this is going to be a stepping stone, yes the leafs lost and im probably the biggest leaf fan any of you know ( dont argue im sure i will surprise you all) anyhow i think jfj will pull some smart moves and let go of our baggage , pick up some big names this summer alot of nhl'ers are from the gta and would love nothing more then to come play at home so i can only hope other then that i really do think we will sign some big free agents regardless of payroll .. i really have high hopes for this team but i do have a feeling its going to pay off this summer..

Yeah, great season, the Leafs definatley put up a great fight! I was certain that they would take the series 1 or 2 times. Good luck in future seasons. tor:
