Default Push off

There is a lot of talk on here wether or not the first Flyer goal should have counted and wether or not Brasher should have been penalized.

First off McCabe never went down, he caught himself with his hands. Brash may have given him a little push but there is no rule for pushing off. If you call that you have to call the plays when 2 players are fighting for the puck in the corner and the outside guy holds the inside guy against the boards preventing him from moving, Or the little crosschecks when fighting for the puck in the corner.

Questions to you people, when Leclair is in front of the net and he is getting a few crosschecks to the back by the leaf defence should that be a penalty?

If "push off" has a name it probably means it is being taught by coaches around the league.

I can understand being upset because of the loss or the fact that the Flyers are leading the series 2-0 but you just can't make up rules. Iam sure that there is not a Ref in the league that would have called that. It was a good play by Brasher and McCabe is just made because it is his fault.

Default Yeh well guess what

That should have been called and if you say it was a pash off and yes I know that LeClair takes a whole bunch of cross checks in the back but none of them actually knock him down Brashear is just one of those ars holes that gets away with everything he is not a player to be proud of he's just as bad as Marty McSorley. :x

Mccabe did not have the puck. Brashear interfered with Mccabe with the push off which turned Mccabe away. Thats an interference penalty. Brashear scores.

Whats the big deal? Battles in front of the net happen all the time, McCabe unfortunately lost this one.

It was a good play by Brashear, McCabe just got burned on a play that the Flyers have been doing all series, throwing it through the crease and hoping someone gets their stick on it to score. IMHO that's why Zhamnov scored, cause Eddie was expecting the pass or shot through the blue ice and Belfour cheated, got caught. The Leafs will need to do a better job at stopping those plays otherwise it'll be tap in after tap in.

McCabe wanted a penalty to excuse himself getting burned. He made a mistake right away having his back to Brashear. He should have been to the side of him so he knew where he was and could have better positioning against him. The Leafs have been playing poorly in their own zone all series long and letting the Flyers win the battles. Having Kaberle back there (who loses almost all of them) doesn't help.
