Default Belfour and Newy out!

Looks like Belfour and Neuiwedyk won't be back until after the All-Star break. Both have bad backs but Newy also has sore ribs so this really sucks especially with a big game against Ottawa coming up.The Leafs have recalled Mikael Tellqvist from St.Johns to replace the injured Belfour.

Cheers

That sucks :( Thankfully Kidd and Telly have been decent this year when called upon. We'll miss Niewy though. I wonder if Stajan will step in as number 2 center.

Yeah too bad about Eddie, but he can get rested for the encore with Ottawa on Tuesday and I think Trevor Kidd can handle the 'Hawks. He's played well except for the 7-1 debacle of course.

As for Nieuwendyk its unfortenate loss, but we'll have to manage without him for a few days. The prognosis didn't seem serious and hopefully he will be back after the all-star break along with ALMO.

I wish Joe were okay, he's one of the few Leafs I like. But it wasn't on purpose despite what certain people say. The d-men were both simply trying to take their man out of the play, and unfortunatly they both thought Newy was their guy. It was really bad luck that the stick cought him where it did.

Now, I'm glad Belfour is out. It helps my Sens odds and the guy would've just been hacking at the forwards legs all night long. Anyway, it should be a good game on Thursday and I predict a 3-1 Ottawa win due to T.O using Kidd. I know some of you may say he's played well this season but Ottawa really exposed him last time. I think they'll do it again.

Good for the Hawks shins. Its unbelievable how Belfour has lowered his game to the level of the leaf.

Well Kidd's not fairing so well tonight. 3 goals on 9 shots so far. I guess Telly will be getting the nod for Thursday.

I hope so. He has played well when he's been in there.

Belfour didn't play tonight.

It was Kidd...

I agree!

The crosschecks weren't hard at all and Redden and Chara were just doing their jobs by trying to clear the front of the net.Its the price you pay for trying to set up shop infront of the oppositions net.

Cheers
