Default Gameday: Toronto @ Minnesota

Thursday Night is when the Leafs head off to Minnesota to play the Wild. Toronto last played against St. Louis and lost in OT by a score of 3-2

Your thoughts and or predictions on the game?

one lose to St. Louis should contribute to losing to minny. minny did beat calgary and end their point streak but with the dirty style of game TO plays they should be able to by pass the trap and pick up the win. TO win 3-1

I expect the Leafs to rebound from the OT loss to St. Louis. 3-1 Leafs. The Leafs must score first to stay away from the Wilds trap.

But we're talking Calgary here, not an NHL powerhouse.

Scoring first is a MUST if the Leafs want any chance of beating the Wild. The Leafs have to make sure they don't turn the puck over in the neutral zone or the Wild will burn them with their speedy forwards.Leafs always have trouble against trapping teams(Ott.Phil,NJ) so I think Minny will take this one.

Leafs 1 Minny 3

Go Leafs

Cheers

Actually Sutter has the Flames playing very inspired Hockey these days. The beat my 'nucks and they beat your Leafs too.

If the Leafs underestimate Minny they will be burned. They are boring but also very disciplined. Very few odd man rushes or defensive break downs.

I don't know what it is but the Leafs don't seem to play well against a defense first type of team. The Wild play that "watch paint dry" type of trap and should be able to bottle up the Leaf's attack. I will go will a 3-1 Wild victory.

Hmm, is it just me, or are the Leafs taking less and less penalties and not even complaining much anymore? Dirty style? No. Gritty? Probably. They win their games on grit and determination, and can't be labled as the dirtiest team anymore.. since Corson and Green left, Tucker is on his game etc..

But if you wanna talk about dirty teams, I'd say St. Louis and Nashville are the teams you should talk about.
