Leaf a Klee
I am very suprised to see the Leafs try to dump Travis Green by putting him on waivers. Green is more suprised judging by his teary heart-wrenching comments on TV last night. Now I'm going to go and eat worms.

hes still very young and remains a big part of the leafs future. i think the leafs felt it would do him good to spend another year with the farm team where he will log more ice team and be placed in various roles than he would have with the big team. besides, kondratiev played well enough to earn his spot on this club, and having more overall experience than carlo gave him the edge. i wanted carlo to stay with the team to get a better idea of his potential, but i think in the long run it was a wise move to let him mature some more.

I'm starting to have my doubts about Carlo,as with as terrible as Lummes play was last year and he stuck with the leafs the entire season it can only leave one asking just how much work does Carlo need if he's still not able to crack the leaf line up when Lummes play last year was good enough to keep him in the line up nightly?

you're obviously missing a big point here. carlo is only 19 yrs old, maybe 20 by now, and the reason he isnt in the line up is simple. its because they dont want to hurt or hinder his future potential by bringing him up too early. if they thought he was a bust, hes excellent trade bait and they can easily land a good defenseman to help them this season if they wanted to.

Let me get this right your saying if he is a bust with the leafs that some other team would be intrested in trading a good defensmen for a prospect that couldn't crack the leaf line up.? :? :?

? what are you talking about? im saying if the leafs felt RIGHT NOW that he wasnt good enough they could trade him. obviously they see future upside and potential in him. theres no way to measure or prove if hes a bust until a he plays enough games at the nhl level. lumme playing has nothing to do with carlo. smarten up man.

Lumme playing as a regular has lots to do with Carlo. If Carlo is not at the same level now as a Lumme and Lumme was the leafs worst dman then what is that saying about where he's at in terms of development??As for his future upside and Potential i'm sure the sens felt the same way about Yashin!
